On the farm

Relax and have a braai! Each guest cottage has its own braai (barbeque) and outside sitting area overlooking the Roodefontein - Piesang River Valley with the majestic Garden Route mountains in the background.

Have a stroll over the farm or go fishing. We have four dams on the farm, for those who fancy catch & release - just bring your own fishing rod. The Plettenvale Wine Estate is just a 2 minute walk from the cottage, for those who enjoy the fruit of the vine.

The town’s 20 kilometres of picturesque Indian Ocean coastline features pristine, unspoilt sandy beaches. Throughout the year, you’ll find beachgoers of all ages soaking up the sun and enjoying the many outdoor activities you’ll find in Plettenberg Bay.

Hiking Trails

The Plettenberg Bay region is surely home to one of the finest collection’s of hiking trails in the world. This is where the coastal platform narrows on the Garden Route, bringing the mountains near to the sea. Deep and ancient river gorges; evergreen forests; colourful fynbos and a spectacular stretch of coastline provide the ideal location for hiking enthusiasts. There is also a large variety of walks in this region ranging from under an hour to six days in duration.

Animal Encounters

Plettenberg Bay’s animal sanctuaries and animal rehabilitation centres are ‘must-do’s’ for visitors to the Garden Route. Enjoy - Monkey Land, Birds of Eden, Jukani Cat Sanctuary, Tenikwa, Elephant Park, Birds of Pray and Whale Watching!
